Amazing Things Font Review

It was a Tuesday morning, and the team was finalizing a product launch graphic for a seasonal sale. The client wanted something eye-catching, playful, and on-brand. We had a few fonts in mind, but when I opened the design file and saw the text in Amazing Things, it immediately felt right. This handwritten script font has a way of making even the simplest message feel personal and energetic.

Visual Style and Personality

Amazing Things is a fun, expressive typeface that leans into the charm of handwritten lettering. It’s not too ornate, nor is it overly casual. Instead, it strikes a balance between approachable and professional, making it ideal for campaigns that want to stand out without losing credibility. The font has a friendly, almost conversational tone, which makes it perfect for branding that aims to connect with audiences on a more human level.

Its personality is best described as whimsical yet polished. Each character has a slight irregularity that mimics real handwriting, giving it a sense of authenticity. This quality can be especially useful in social media graphics, where visual interest and uniqueness are key.

Real Campaign Use Cases

During a recent campaign for an online course launch, we used Amazing Things for the headline on the landing page and for promotional banners. The font added a creative flair that complemented the brand’s modern aesthetic while keeping the message clear and engaging. It worked well as a display font, drawing attention without overwhelming the viewer.

For Instagram posts and YouTube thumbnails, the font’s bold strokes and natural flow made it easy to read at smaller sizes. We tested it on dark backgrounds and found that it still maintained good contrast, making it a solid choice for content that needs to pop in fast-scrolling feeds.

In a Pinterest campaign for a DIY kit, we paired Amazing Things with a clean sans serif for body text. The combination created a nice visual rhythm, allowing the playful font to shine as a highlight while keeping the rest of the design legible and professional.

Readability and Practical Tips

While Amazing Things excels in short headlines and callouts, it’s not the best choice for long paragraphs or dense information. Its handwritten style, while charming, can become difficult to read when used in large blocks of text. That said, when used strategically—such as in headlines, logos, or decorative titles—it adds a unique touch that can elevate a design.

When using the font in digital ads or email banners, keep the text size above 16px to ensure readability on mobile screens. For thumbnails and image overlays, avoid placing the text too close to the edges, as the font’s curves can get lost in tight compositions.

Font Pairing and Design Integration

One of the strengths of Amazing Things is its versatility in pairing. It works well with a range of other fonts, depending on the desired effect. For a balanced look, pair it with a simple sans serif like Helvetica or Arial. For a more editorial feel, try a serif font such as Georgia or Playfair Display.

If you’re working on a branded template pack or a set of social media assets, consider using Amazing Things as a secondary font for headings and labels. It can add visual interest without competing with the main typography.

Before finalizing any project, make sure to check the font’s available styles, ligatures, and alternates. These features can significantly impact how the font looks in different contexts. Also, verify that the font supports the languages and characters needed for your campaign, especially if you’re targeting international audiences.

Campaign Suitability and Limitations

Amazing Things is best suited for campaigns that rely on short, impactful messages. It shines in areas like sales announcements, product teasers, quote graphics, and webinar banners. However, it may not be the best fit for formal corporate communication or situations where clarity and precision are paramount.

For instance, using this font in a legal document or a data-heavy infographic would likely reduce readability and confuse the audience. In those cases, a more structured typeface would be a better choice.

That said, when used correctly, Amazing Things can be a powerful tool in a designer’s toolkit. Whether you're creating a digital ad, a social media post, or a branded template, it brings a sense of creativity and personality that can help your campaign stand out.
